Hello! My name is Omena and I have been a Primary School Teacher for 8 years. I teach English, Maths, Science, the Humanities, Religious Education, PSHE/ Citizenship, Art and Computing. I have also tutored 11+ and English as a Foreign Language. I am a Geography Leader, education blogger, and have produced educational content for publishers, charities and EdTech. I have a real passion for literature and knowledge and I work with a diverse children's book seller. I have just completed a Master's degree in Education and Social Justice, from University College London (UCL). During my studies, I won funding from UCL and the UK Government (Turing Scheme) to travel to South Africa and conduct an international research project on the curriculum. Consequently, I have been invited to present my research at several conferences, and have written a chapter for an educational research book due to be published this year.
