A bit about Alistair D

I have been a teacher for 18 years. I currently work as a head of Science and Technology at a successful secondary school in Herts. As well as teaching both GCSE and A-level Sciences I am also a team leader examiner which means I am well versed in what the exam board are looking for in answers. This past year my school achieved the best results it has ever got- 100% A*-C in Biology with a value-added of +1.2 and 100% A*-A in Chemistry :) I specialise in Science generally but can deliver all three Sciences to A level. I am currently teaching A level in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I completed my GCSEs a long time ago gaining, amongst others, A grades in Maths and Science. I then moved into A level achieving A grades in Biology and Chemistry before completing my degree and PGCE. When asked students usually say that I manage to make lessons interesting and engaging. I take my student's success very seriously- as one year 11 put it 'you believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself!" AQA for GCSE science OCR for A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics
