Hi! I'm Dan, a Chemistry tutor who has been teaching in schools for over 20 years!

I first started teaching after graduating Bath university with a first class degree in Chemical Engineering. I have always had a keen interest in Chemistry and how it is used in the world around us, but it is at university where I tutored part time that I discovered how much I enjoyed combining it with teaching.

I focus on engagement when teaching, consistently asking the student questions during our sessions as the best way to cement knowledge is by being able to teach concepts as if you were explaining them to a beginner. My teaching style is patient and relaxed, as each student learns at their own pace, and may grasp some concepts easier than others.
