A bit about Joy M

My passion and pursuit of knowledge have made me an advocate of ‘life-long transformation’ with an unstoppable drive to transfer my 'CAN DO' teaching philosophy. My ‘CAN DO’ teaching philosophy will guide the student not only to achieve the English language skills they desire but also develop the confidence to use it! I think students like my Communicative Teaching (CLT) focusing on meaningful communication, rather than structure and grammar, combined with my Total Physical Response (TPR), using mime, gestures and body language, particularly when teaching young students. All students, both young and old alike seem to like learning when they are having FUN, playing games I select to teach various topics. Outside of teaching my interest is in health and nutrition, so I enjoy reading about this topic. Subsequently, I am constantly evolving and improving my health regime. I am also passionate about environmental issues and I try and include these two topics in my classes and extra-curricular activities where possible.
