A bit about Bernard T

I am qualified at a degree level, and I have a teaching qualification PLLTS. I teach French up to a degree level and prepare students for tests and exams; Maths, and ICT ECDL up to level 3. I am enthusiastic and versatile with a positive attitude towards challenging students to achieve good results. I am passionate about my profession and believe I can bring creativity to lesson planning and motivating students. My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. However, my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence builds. I use questions and examples to check to understand continually. In 2015, I have started tutoring. I have classroom experience from 1 year as a French Support Learner - Class Stage 3 at Morley College. This involved helping adult students to learn French; improving reading, writing & speaking skills; and consolidating grammar & vocabulary skills. In my role as ICT assistant tutor at City Lit and Nova New Opportunities project, I have taught students up to Level 3 for a period of 3 years. I am experienced in using technology to Since 2015, I have been working as a French and ICT freelancer trainer. I have been tutoring one-to-one private lessons and small groups, in London.
