A bit about Stuart S

I live in East Dorset near the New Forest and beaches of Bournemouth. I have my own home shared with Ralphy , a five year King Charles Spaniel. I enjoy music, gardening, cooking and supporting my football team, Plymouth Argyle. Tutoring is amazing! I devise my own learning material to help students enjoy their learning. My base covers material for Year 2 to Year 11 students. Even plenty of material for Adult learners. Come an join me, we can have fun whilst learning!!! Primarily Maths. English language up to GCSE. Grammar entrance examinations 11+. I also encourage students for Functional Skills - Maths and English. Ten years ago I successfully joined a small group of tutors to write a National Maths Level 1 paper for adult learners. It took 4 years to be accepted as the vacancies arose once a year ( not guaranteed), It was fun, hard work. Result !! I always keep a student record sheet. It helps when planning lessons. I find asking students what topics they feel best to revise. If they are not sure I prepare a range of worksheets for them to choose from. There is no pressure on the student, I can always go back on a topic at a later date. Should I really disclose when I first started tutoring ? Haha May 2001. I worked a summer contract for the Elizabeth Johnson Organisation tutoring English to foreign students. 2001. September I commenced tutoring English and Maths for school students. After school in the family home. Most students aged 10 to 16. I devised my own learning material that i enjoy immensely. I have amassed over 1000 worksheets to use as resources during my lessons.
