A bit about Paul M

My lessons are fun, dynamic and very practical as I like my students enjoy the whole learning experience. We always start with an engaging starter and recap of previous sessions. I have empathy for the teenagers who are not naturally drawn toward foreign languages so I plan my lessons carefully so they are tailor-made to their needs and emotional response. French language is a very live thing dealing with society, trends and it's evolving constantly over the last decades. I found it challenging myself in a very positive way. I have a very communicative approach where students need to talk from the very start of the lesson. Everybody can manage to say something and I love all to come out of the lesson with a positive feeling of achievement. I have been teaching languages since 2008 in London to GCSE and A Level students and adults as well for evening classes. I also teach adults on other online platforms. I am quite spontaneous and outgoing and opened to all cultures in the world as I have travelled and taught people from many different backgrounds both physically and online. I started teaching online in 2019 and have since then adapted my teaching style to the virtual classroom. During my first 6 years as a French specialist we achieved 85% of grade C and above for French GCSE and most of our students have exceeded their predicted grades by one or 2 grades. I have completed 2 Masters qualifications in Phonetics and Linguistics of French in 2003 I have also successfully completed the seminar of French Language Acquisition Methodology in 2005 (Applied Neurophysiology of 2nd Language Acquisition / Educational Kinesiology I & II / Retinatopic Imaging / Accelerated Audio Lingual and Advanced Dual Method and others) I have extended knowledge of Edexcel GCSE specifications and AQA specifications for A Level. Currently I am working with A level students and preparing them for the Edexcel French A level.
