My name is Carolyn, and I have been a tutor since I was 16, and I?m still teaching! I am highly qualified, majoring in Economics at Queen?s University, Belfast, UK with a top degree, and afterwards I studied post-graduate Law qualifying as a solicitor.

 Throughout my studies and working as a solicitor, I was a partner in a very successful private tutoring establishment for 25+ years, tutoring seven days a week. When my first child was born, something had to give, it was an easy choice. I chose the love of my life, teaching! Teaching is my passion, it comes from my soul, I love helping students to achieve, to realise their full potential, to become confident in their ability, to nurture them into working independently and trusting their ability, to see them grow and mature academically and as a person. 

In 2012, I studied to become an international EFL teacher and in 2013, I spent a wonderful year in Shenzhen, China, teaching English in a primary school. In the evening, I tutored older students, who very quickly moved to top rankings in their classes. In 2014, I returned to Queen?s University, Belfast to do a Masters in TESOL and achieved distinction, as I wanted to be an expert in my field. Since 2015, I have been teaching EFL and Business English in Saudi Arabia, and currently I am working in a university teaching English to medical students. I am a teacher that wants the best for my students, as I am so aware that I can make a difference in their career, and to me, this is the most precious gift I can give to a student.
