A bit about Irene D

I was once a student with a desire to pass maths and through getting extra support, I was able to gain the confidence to help others. Since then teaching has become a passion and I have tutored in various forms throughout my life. As the head girl in school, I was able to launch a GCSE maths after-school club for fellow peers who were aiming for a higher grade. I was awarded an A for my GCSE maths and have not stopped teaching what I learnt to others. I am very patient and appreciate that no child is the same therefore, I tutor based on an individual's ability to learn. My goal is to equip children with the right principles for maths that they need because in maths it's not just about the formula but the application that needs to be focused on. To me practice makes perfect, therefore,I aim to do as many questions and really teach the area a child finds difficult, developing weaknesses into strengths and making sure they still master their strengths in order to reach their full potential in their studies. I enjoy being outside in nature for walks and also fitness whether its at home or in the gym. I host a lot of family and friend events and love to cook. Lastly, I love to read. Primary - GCSE Exams (WJEC, Edexcel, OCR, AQA) My favourite thing about being a tutor is that no day or student is ever the same. I always experience new personalities which challenge me to think of new ways to help my students. I also love the appreciation I receive from students because they feel I've made a difference in their learning experience.
