I`m Ed, an enthusiastic engineer and programmer with a passion for computational modelling and simulation. I graduated with first-class honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester, where I achieved stellar grades. Currently, I work at Rolls-Royce Defence as an engineer, validating computer software while also developing physics-based codes to be run on a supercomputer. This October, I will be relocating to Cambridge to pursue the MPhil in Scientific Computing, exploring the mathematical techniques and algorithms used to model continuous matter (such as air and water). I will be a member of Clare Hall, where I was awarded a scholarship for my outstanding undergraduate performance. My future aspiration is to pursue a PhD, researching the use of machine learning and/or innovative alternatives to traditional engineering simulation.
