A bit about Sohail S

I specialise in Design Technology education at KS3, GCSE, IGCSE and A-level. I have been responsible for designing the curriculum delivered for our subject for an outstanding rated school. I can help students with their coursework as well as theory work to prepare them for their exams. I am a top-performing leader of Design Technology with experience at KS3, GCSE, IGCSE and A level. I have many years of industry experience, delivering strong results in Architecture and Product Design roles for established firms. I am currently the Achievement Director for Design Technology at an Outstanding rated academy trust which consists of 52 academies in and around London. My most recent achievements including getting the highest GCSE and A level grades in the academy trust for my subject area. I have been helping students for the past 5 years achieve their full potential by guiding them through their design technology coursework and exams. I can help guide them in their thinking for their projects and sharing excellent exemplars for students to achieve the grades they want. I have been mentoring and coaching students of A level and GCSE Design Technology who are aspiring to become entrepreneurs with their innovative product ideas. I have developed and implemented policies and practices which emphasise the department's commitment to provide effective education to all students. I have ensured the design faculty is working consistently to implement and improve the schemes of work in line with national curriculum guidelines. I am dedicated to providing the best service to my students by helping them to reach their goal. Lessons are planned and adapted to suit the individual needs of the student. Each lesson is sequenced to focus on strengths and weaknesses within the subject area. I have experienced working with students of all ability levels and can provide examples and resources that are accessible. I started in education during my 9 years in industry to promote the subject by tutoring and mentoring design students in universities, colleges and schools. My most recent achievements including getting the highest GCSE and A level grades in an outstanding rated academy school for a trust with 52 academies. I work with a highly reputable trust with the largest network of schools in and around London that are driven to by the highest standards with the aim of being outstanding.
