A bit about Diana A

My teaching style focuses on connecting with students personally and identifying and eliminating their pain points. I believe many students struggle with exams because of concepts poorly communicated during the learning stage. By fostering an open and supportive environment, I encourage students to share their difficulties, allowing me to address misunderstandings and clarify complex topics. I thoroughly pre-plan my lessons, which helps track progress effectively. Within just 2-3 lessons, students typically have a clear understanding of their current standing and the grades they can expect to achieve. This approach not only enhances their grasp of the subject matter but also builds their confidence and enthusiasm for learning. My qualifications that make me an effective tutor in these subjects include an MScR in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Manchester, where I graduated with top honors, and a BSc in Physics with Philosophy, completed with distinction. My academic background encompasses advanced topics such as statistical mechanics, quantum mechanics, relativity, and mathematical logic. Additionally, I achieved A or above in A-levels and GCSEs in Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Chemistry. This diverse educational foundation, along with my fluency in English and Russian, enhances my communication skills and allows me to tailor my teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring an effective and personalized learning experience. I teach A-levels and GCSEs/iGCSEs in Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Chemistry. I am comfortable with both AQA and Edexcel exam boards, and I am open to teaching other boards if you provide the book or syllabus. Additionally, I can teach university-level courses in Physics and Maths. Outside of teaching, I have a variety of interests that keep me busy and inspired. I'm currently working on a book about fermentation science, specifically zymology, which is all about the chemistry behind fermentation. I love making my own fermented beverages and foods, experimenting with different techniques at home. I’m currently learning French, also with a tutor. I want to reach level B2 by the end of the year, it will allow me to teach and be taught in French as well as Russian and English. Another area I’m passionate about is AI development and programming, which I’ve had the chance to work on. I enjoy blending creativity with technology and constantly learning new things. Overall, I like to think of myself as a well-rounded person with a wide range of interests.
