A bit about Anaum F

I am a recent university graduate Economics with a strong passion for Mathematics and Economics. Having excelled in A-levels in Economics, Maths, and Further Maths, I am committed to sharing my knowledge and helping students achieve their academic goals. I tutor for GCSE and A Level, and I am familiar with various exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR. I specialise in tutoring Mathematics and Economics, particularly for students preparing for their GCSEs ( covering all exam boards)and A-levels( specialising in AQA). My focus areas include algebra, calculus, statistics, economic theory and data analysis. My lessons are structured to be highly interactive and practical based upon by my pupils unique learning style. We engage in many problem-solving activities and exam practices, with plenty of practice questions to reinforce learning. Each lesson ends with a summary and a Q&A session to address any lingering doubts. I began tutoring during my final year of A-levels, helping classmates and younger students with their studies. This experience ignited my passion for teaching and led me to continue tutoring throughout my university years. I have a total of 4 years of tutoring experience with a range of students at different levels and abilities. I love the moment when a student finally grasps a challenging concept and their confidence soars. Teaching math and economics allows me to share my enthusiasm for these subjects and make a tangible difference in students' academic journeys. My teaching style is student-centred and adaptive. I emphasise active learning, encouraging students to participate actively in lessons through questions and problem-solving. I believe in providing practical examples and real-world applications to make abstract concepts more relatable. My favourite thing about being a tutor is witnessing my students' growth and achievements. Seeing them overcome challenges and succeed academically is incredibly rewarding and motivates me to continue improving my teaching methods. My teaching philosophy is based on the belief that every student has the potential to excel with the right guidance and support. I strive to create a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable to explore, make mistakes, and learn from them. Students appreciate my interactive and approachable teaching style. They often mention that my ability to break down complex concepts into manageable parts makes learning less intimidating and more enjoyable. One of my greatest successes was helping a student who was struggling with GCSE math to achieve a grade 8. Through personalised lessons and consistent practice, we were able to turn their apprehension into confidence and mastery of the subject. I have A-levels in economics, maths, and further math, and I am currently pursuing a degree in economics at the university level. These qualifications, combined with my tutoring experience, equip me to provide effective and insightful guidance to my students. My inspiration to become a teacher stems from my own love for mathematics and economics, as well as the satisfaction I derive from helping others understand and enjoy these subjects. The impact a good teacher can have on a student's academic journey is profound, and I aspire to be that positive influence. I teach students aged 11-18, covering year groups from Key Stage 3 to A-levels. I am familiar with various exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR, ensuring that my lessons are aligned with the specific requirements of each board. Outside of teaching, I have a passion for hiking, traveling, and exploring new places. These activities allow me to connect with nature, experience different cultures, and continuously learn from the world around me.
