A bit about Alice B

I have a 1st class degree in Biology and am a qualified teacher, with a huge experience including, primary Science, GCSE Physics, Chemistry and Biology as well as A-level Biology. I have recently been the assistant principal for a school, specialising in supporting pupils to reach their academic goals through well structured lessons, differentiation and passion for learning. I love teaching science because it answers the big HOW and WHY questions we have about the World around us. Science has taken me all over the world, from following monkeys in South Africa, to studying aquatic life in the Caribbean, and teaching primary science in Singapore. Science has opened all these exciting doors for me and therefore I want to share this passion, enthusiasm and love for the subject with others, whilst answering those big challenge questions. My teaching style is to plan lessons tailored and differentiated to the learner. Starting with a question which by the end of the lesson the pupil will be able to answer through exam question practise, at home experiments and pupil-tutor discussions. I also like to make the lessons active for the learner, getting pupils to question their ideas and come to conclusions independently.
