A bit about Emily B

My name is Emily and I am an experienced English tutor, able to support students all the way up to A Level. I am also qualified in TEFL and have a degree in Politics. I look forward to meeting you. English, English Literature, University Applications, Politics, lower level Maths, English as a Foreign Language. I have supported students in all of these subjects, having improved GCSE grades for all students I have worked with. I first started tutoring in 2016, where I supported two Vietnamese girls who had just moved with their mother from Poland to the UK. I helped them with English grammar and with their school work. I have a broad experience and successes in different areas of English tutoring. I have had success in improving GCSE grade expectations, as well as helping a university applicant to secure five out of five university offers due to the quality of the personal statement I helped her to write. This meant she ended up at her first choice university. Improving confidence in my students is one of my most consistent strengths.
