A bit about Fayola M

I am an experienced A Level Psychology and Media teacher with over 6 years of experience teaching in both subjects. I have been an examiner for AQA Psychology for 3 years and have detailed understanding of mark schemes, assessment objectives and effective evaluation writing. My teaching style is flexible. I use a range of IT in my lessons and challenge students in relation to application and building a line of argument for evaluation points. I like to take feedback from students and focus on their area of weakness. My lessons begin with a recap/learning check of previous areas studied and the topic of focus for the lesson. We then move into keyword or key study learning which includes note taking and comprehension tasks. Once the basics are covered, I move on to activities such as, answering exam style questions, tackling scenario based tasks and writing an argument for evaluation points. Learning will then be checked at the end of the session by getting students to complete an independent task, under timed conditions and marking their own work before gaining feedback. I specialise in A Level Psychology for the AQA examination board. I have taught all areas in Psychology and have a high command of the expectations of the exam papers. Completing examiner marking means I can effectively aid pupils in writing answers that will pick up marks and meet all required assessment objectives. I also specialise in helping students make connections between year one topics in developmental and cognitive psychology with year 2 topics and theories.
