A bit about Jonathan

I have 15 years experience tutoring Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Combined Science. Outstanding results year in year out from KS3 through to A level and even Degree level. I cover ALL EXAM BOARDS throughout the academic curriculum - AQA, EDEXCEL, IB, OCR, WJEC and MEI are all covered. I can also help with entrance exams to our top public and grammar schools, and Oxbridge preparation, as I was accepted to study PhD at Cambridge University in 2009 (but decided upon another path). Communication of ideas and concepts with clarity and simplicity is the foundation of my approach. With 15 years of experience in tuition of MATHS, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOCHEMISTRY, COMBINED SCIENCES, ENTRANCE EXAMS, FURTHER MATHS, AND SPECIAL NEEDS. I have consistently succeeded in identifying and harnessing intelligence, which is subsequently demonstrated through fluent application in exams. Focusing on academic practice according to the student's ambition, I tailor the lessons to suit their requirements and learning style so as to ensure they maximise their efforts and have as little disparity between ability and achievement through application of ideas. Lessons last from 1 to 2 hours, according to the student's needs and personality. I use multiple learning aids and resources to ensure a more interactive educational experience, helping students enhance their own capacity for self motivated research. I have been tutoring professionally for 15 years in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. To spend one's working professional life studying to then guaranteeing what has taken the best part of 30 years to understand will be understood by my students by the end of a lesson, putting them 30 years ahead of me! What's not to love? My style is tailored to the student's character, abilities and ambitions. I'm informal in my approach as it's not school, but nonetheless expect a level of respectfulness and consistent parental involvement. I'm not strict unless requested to be by parents. I don't set work to be done outside tutorials unless it is necessary, but I will test during lessons according to the academic board and examination standards to be undertaken.
