A bit about Jane M

I've been Teaching Maths in secondary school since 2013 and after starting to tutor alongside my teaching role I decided to tutor full time and have been doing that since September 2022. I enjoy tutoring because you are helping students achieve their goals, be that a better grade, a particular qualification or just seeing the enjoyment and mystery of maths. I don't want any student to say they can't do maths. I help students to understand maths to the level they need to achieve what they want in their future careers - for some that may be a functional skills qualification, for some it may be a grade 4 (pass) at GCSE and for others it may be achieving those top grades of 8 or 9. I only Tutor on line and I specialise in Maths GCSE and IGCSE but also have experience teaching Statistics GCSE, 11+ and functional skills. I tailor all of my tutoring sessions to a students needs at the time. Tutoring sessions are very relaxed and driven entirely by the students needs and requirements - be that help understanding topics covered at school, help on how to answer exam questions or just help understanding the requirements for a functional skills qualification. I have experience with most English exam boards including Edexcel, AQA and OCR. I also have experience with IGCSE and Statistics GCSE. I teach mainly KS3 and 4 - year groups 7 to 11, but also work with students beyond year 11 who need to either retake their GCSE or achieve a functional skills qualification to allow them to move on to the next stop of either their education or career
