A bit about Hannah

I am an enthusiastic and confident teacher with experience from early years to KS2 (with additional experience in KS3), striving to help children learn and develop. I demonstrate strong classroom management skills and know the importance of teacher – student rapport and respect as well as well as that with student – teacher. My passion for science and languages helps me teach engaging lessons and contribute to the wider life of the community. PGCE Primary Education with QTS, specialist in science and English as an Additional Language (EAL) BSc (Human Biology) - Level 5 Higher National Diploma in French I am a qualified primary teacher and for my PGCE I specialised in Science and English as an Additional Language (EAL). This was a continuation for BSc (Human Biology) and Level 5 Higher National Diploma in French. I have additional experience through university, voluntary work and paid work with those who have additional needs. I first started tutoring for RefuNet (a voluntary organisation) in March 2017, tutoring refugees for whom English is not their first language. I have taught Mathematics and English to a variety of ages and abilities. Having a flair for languages, as a hobby I listen to Bengali, English and French music, as well as developing my knowledge of BSL via watching and listening to British Sign Language songs. I am a talented writer, writing poetry, short stories, and descriptions. Some of my work has been successful in competitions. Being interested in history, I often watch documentaries, aiding my learning and supporting my teaching. At present, I am completing my family trees. Daily, I enjoy walking and yoga. Both students and residents enjoy practising yoga which develops their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. For charity, I crochet blankets for babies and children, as well as annually donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust and participating in The Walk for Autism. I am a qualified primary teacher, and have taught nursery to high school children and tutored primary and all the way up to degree level students.
