With 2 years teaching experience, with a Secondary English PGCE, a background in examining AQA English Language and a degree in English Literature, I am equipped to help guide students through their GCSEs in English Literature and English Language. With my experience as an examiner, I know what the exam boards are looking for and I can teach you effective techniques to help understand and write your exams with confidence. I also have experience teaching students in KS3 and students in KS5. I have experience working with a diverse group of students from those with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and those who are aiming for grade 8 or 9 in their GCSE. For higher achievers, I push them to start thinking more critically about the texts they're studying, fostering independent thought, applying critical theory to the text, and improving the quality of their writing structure. However, despite teaching this to high achievers, my motto is to introduce these concepts to all students regardless of your academic ability.My greatest strength as an educator is my ability to model writing and analysis, helping students understand how to approach a question or analyze a quote effectively. I began teaching in 2022, and since then, I have successfully tutored students who have made significant improvements in their English studies. Many clients have requested ongoing tuition due to the progress they’ve achieved.
