Hello, I'm a professional teacher and ex head of mathematics
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
HELLO My name is Salik and I am a professional teacher. I have mostly taught in schools for 18 years and was Head of Mathematics at Thurso High School. I have taught high flyers as well as low flyers. I am patient, professional and will go the extra mile to make sure you achieve your goal.
I specialise in mathematics as I have an honours degree but I can also teach combined science to GCSE LEVEL. At the junior level, I can teach from KS2 upwards. My teaching style is flexible and student-orientated.
Mathematics has a beauty and elegance that few others subjects can match. I like most is the fact that a problem can usually be solved using many methods and approaches - so you can cater for many different types of students.
My teaching style is student-orientated. As I said, there are many ways of tackling a problem. The best way is to adapt your style to match the one best suited for the student and will lead to a positive experience of success. I always praise and encourage my students.
Reviews
Pervaiz has really helped me with my maths, prior to starting my lessons I was really confused but with Pervaiz guidance I feel I am starting to understand more. He is very good with explaining everything and so very patient with me, I never feel silly if I don't understand as he will guide me through it until I do understand. I can truly highly recommend Pervaiz for your maths tuition.

Where do I go from here?
You can send Pervaiz S a message through Sherpa and they will usually get back to you within 24 hours. You'll receive an SMS and email notification when they do so.
How do the introductions work?
Sherpa gives you the opportunity to meet our tutors in a free 20 minute introduction, which takes place through the Sherpa classroom.
How do lessons work?
All lessons take place through Sherpa's online, industry-leading classroom. This is a combination of a collaborative, real time whiteboard and a video call, like Zoom.
