A bit about Emma M

I have 8 years experience tutoring A level Maths privately and for Tutor Doctor. I also tutor Maths in a secondary school. As a young person, I found A level Maths a challenge at times, but with the right help and inspiration I came to love it. I went on to do Physics with Maths at University. I like helping young people achieve their goals at such a critical time in life, and I have the best job in the world. A Level lessons start with the 'big picture' - how does this topic fit with the rest of the course, and what are the key ideas to keep in mind? I like to provide a useful summary of key points for students to refer back to, and also, ways to remember things. Then I ensure that the questions covered in the lesson are carefully chosen to cover the widest range of question types possible, providing the right level of challenge to improve confidence. Homework is provided, along with solutions, to practice skills covered in the lesson. I am happy to be interrupted with questions! 8 years ago. In that time, I have had lots of different students, with different learning styles and different goals. I never get tired of the joy of helping a student master a tricky concept.
