A bit about Alice

As a medical student I have an indepth understanding of biology and chemistry, and enjoy speaking about these topics. I think my passion for these topics, and how they apply to practice, is an asset to my tutoring. I can help students to maintain, or find enjoyment in these subjects as they prepare for exams. I prepare my sessions according to the specification to ensure the content is relevant and structured. I am flexible to different learning styles and generally opt for a conversational teaching style whereby we start by reviewing content together before applying this to questions and exercises. I ensure to include a variety of question and activity styles to maintain engagement and enjoyment through the sessions. I aim to keep a structure to the sessions as we work together to ensure we cover the specification. However, I can also be adapatable and prepare lessons on a week by week basis whereby the student can let me know the topics they are currently struggling with. I am a 5th year Medical student with over 4 years experience of online tutoring experience. I have helped students achieve high grades at GCSE and A-level, and have great feedback from them and their parents. I also have experience working with children and young adults in a variety of settings, for example as a children's gymnastics coach. I regularly volunteer on the children's ward at my local hospital as part of The Bedside Buddies Society and enjoy talking to different people.
