A bit about Stewart L

I spend time to plan a sequence of 3 or 4 lessons to cover one topic and allow extra time for stretch and support activities. I allow time for investigation and critical thinking activities from time to time. I ve spent almost twenty years teaching maths, IT and computer science. I ve taught ks3, GCSE and A level in these subjects at UK secondary, Hong Kong and Chinese independent schools. Maths, Computer Science and IT This was a year before the pandemic kicked off and when it was during lockdown I gave ZOOM and TEAMS lessons in Maths. That students learn the skills and knowledge to make progress in Maths. Three part plan, a starter where a numeracy or Algebra activity is given and students can do. The main part of the lesson where the format is 'I do, we do then you do' going through demonstrating the skills, then working through an example with the students followed by independent work. The last part is to review the answers and use diagnostic questioning to test the students, an exam question or an exit ticket for formative assessment. I like to work with individual students
