A bit about Eleanor M

I have recently finished my teacher training degree and am looking forward to getting to know and teach engaging lessons to children who need extra support. As I am somebody who also had a tutor from a young age (7), I know how much the support can help, especially after the past year. I am also an artistic swimming coach and have done this since I was 16, planning and teaching fun and engaging lessons for the children. I look forward to taking this from the classroom and pool, to your children at home! I specialise in English. I chose this for my love of reading. It is vital that children read for pleasure rather than seeing this as a chore during lessons, because of this I enjoy recommending books to children that I believe they will enjoy once I have gotten to know them. Reading is also a way of enhancing the imagination which will help the child in future years when moving through to high school and onto college if they choose to continue the journey. I only wanted to become a teacher after being in a primary school for the first time on placement while in college. Because of this, I fell in love with teaching from being in the work place. Assisting the children and watching them as they understand the work and love different subjects is extremely rewarding, especially if the child has not understood the topic in the past. As I am a young educator, I have been told by children on placements that they feel more comfortable and enjoy my lessons.
