A bit about Megan F

The vast amounts of experience I have had tutoring and mentoring students has helped me to understand how each student is different and so I adapt my teaching style in order to fit their preferred style of learning. Students have said I am very patient and have really helped to boost their confidence with regards to exams and studying. Due to the fact that I am a Medical student, I am extremely passionate about science. I enjoyed biology so much that I was ranked first in my grammar school for my exams, and hence I fully understand how to answer questions to hit the points on the mark scheme. Therefore, not only can I help you to better understand the content, but I can also help you to improve your exam technique, which is ultimately what will improve your grades. Having been the leader of the Medical society at my school, I not only received offers from all of the medical schools that I applied to, but I have also helped tutor numerous students to do the same. I have given countless mock interviews, gave advice on how to apply smartly to medical school and also how to ensure your grades are the optimum for the universities you want to apply to. Alongside this, I took the BMAT and UCAT exams, achieving highly in both, and have a couple of years experience tutoring students in these medical school exams to help them get into university as these exams are of vital importance. I am currently studying Medicine at UCL (University College London). At A level I achieved 4A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Design Technology and at GCSE I achieved all A*s (9s & 8s) and 1 A. Alongside this, I have won numerous awards for my academic achievements including receiving a special prize for ranking top in my year for two of my A level subjects, one of which was Biology. Therefore I believe I have a really strong understanding of the UK exam board systems and how knowing the content only gets you so far, but it is your exam technique which really makes you excel and this is something I am keen to share to students!
