A bit about Left

I have been teaching for 3 years and have a great passion for mathematics. I utilise cutting edge pedagogy and refer to the literature when teaching. Having worked in both a highly prestigious school in an affluent area and another in a deprived borough, I have been to adapt my teaching in order to best serve the needs of students. I believe my compassion and educational rigour can secure progress for any pupil. I studied Mathematics at University and gained a deep understanding of many facets of the subject. It is precisely because I understand the difficulty and the nuances of Maths that I can preempt misconceptions and frustrations and remedy these for my students in school and during tutoring sessions . My other passion is Science, specifically Physics which I also teach. I began tutoring before I had started my degree. Transferring knowledge and understanding was always a passion of mine and I learned early, the best ways in which to support other learners. Doing this at a young age (17 onwards) has afforded me many years to hone my teaching skill. I am an avid reader and music listener. I actually produce my own music and release it independently. I have even secured radio play on BBC WM and been featured in an article by The Guardian regarding teachers who do creative things outside of the classroom.
