A bit about Tiegan M

I am a UK 2:1 graduate teacher with plenty experience, I have also got all my GCSE’s between A*-C, and A-levels at A. I have also obtained a masters degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages, of which I am happy to teach young and adult learners. Prior to any lessons I will have a consultation meeting with my learner to establish their current levels, as well as determining what goals they would want to achieve. During a typical lesson I will begin with a mini activity to the main topic, followed by a main activity (anything from a live worksheet to a physical activity). At the end of the lesson I will do a plenary with the student to determine how successful their learning has been for the day, and discuss their own opinion of the lesson to determine future lessons. My teaching style is adaptable. I understand that all learners can learn in so many different ways. Therefore I will consult with the student to find out how they learn best, and filter this into my teaching methods and theories as I see best fit! (If you are unsure on which is best, I will do a variety of physical, kinaesthetic and independent to determine what works!) Students that I have taught in the past love my creativity during each and every lesson. I like to make sure that no lesson is ever the same, and I try to ensure that each and every pupil has the opportunity to discuss with me what style of learning they prefer. Any future students should be prepared for each day to vary, one day we may be doing the online lesson outdoor and connecting with the world so it is less 'online', and other days we may be utilising advanced technology to extend the lesson further than a worksheet or a book! My students love the variation, and I intend to keep this relevant during all online sessions.
