A bit about Kalila M

I started tutoring economics in university in 2008, and have maintained a part-time role tutoring since then. I also volunteered to tutor maths and english to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. I take great pride in tutoring, and I am always so happy when I am able to help students understand tricky concepts. My teaching style is to ensure that the lesson is as interactive as possible. For subjects such as maths and economics, I feel that it is much more beneficial for students to work on the questions themselves, with my support and guidance. I try and provide as many real-life applications as possible, so students can both understand what they are learning and appreciate why they are learning it. I am really enthusiastic about my subjects, and I look to share this enjoyment of the subjects with my students. I specialise in maths and economics. These subjects go hand-in-hand, as economics is mathematics-based. I truly enjoy these subjects and love teaching both, especially by applying both maths and economics to practical examples. I have had many students tell me that they were able to understand tricky concepts once I explained them, which made me feel like I had a real impact as a tutor.
