A bit about Jasmine

I am a passionate teacher who studied a four year BEd (Hons) in Primary Education and I have been teaching in a wide range of settings since 2013. These settings have included an infant school, primary school, international private school and special school. I have also recently completed an MA in English Language Linguistics so would love the opportunity to tutor older students with revision skills and essay writing within the subject of English. I have recently pursued my passion for English further through studying for an MA in English Language and Linguistics. I am a very creative teacher and I enjoy tailoring lessons to students interests and needs. I look forward to being able to do this on a 1-1 basis during online tutoring. I am friendly, honest and approachable. I style my lessons to appeal to all types of learning and learners. I provide lots of visual and kinaesthetic methods to help make learning memorable. I am an advocate of inclusive education and have taught many students with additional and special needs including autism, dyslexia and sensory impairments. My recent study of Level 2 British Sign Language has helped me see the world of communication in a more visual way. I often work with my students to create rhymes, mnemonics and analogies to remember new and challenging ideas. My favourite thing about being a tutor is getting to know my students well enough to help them achieve and share the pride of that with them. The one to one setting really allows the personalisation of sessions to accelerate progress.
