A bit about Siya S

I specialise in Biology and Chemistry at any level up to A-level as I am now studying a Masters degree in Pharmacy. I am also very proficient in History up to A-level as I received an A. My last speciality is English in which I refined a 9 in English Literature and an 8 in English Language at GSCE. I started working with a tutoring company in 2018 starting with maths, English and 11+ for primary school students and carried on with that for just over 2 years. My teaching style is student based and depends on the student that I am teaching. I like to take a very active learning style as I believe it keeps the students very engaged and allows them to process information a lot further. I also like to focus on practise questions as this is the most accurate way to test ones knowledge. My favourite thing about being a tutor is spending time with students and watch them develop and see how talented they are after realising their preferences in regard to studying. This allows to reach a new potential that they did not know that they could reach. I am currently a second year MPharm student, which is a Masters in Pharmacy, and want to go on to be a patent attorney. I took Chemistry, Biology, History and an Extended Project Qualification. Alongside this I also competed in the Taekwondo World Championships in 2016 and placed 2nd. My lessons would start by asking the student if there is anything in particular they would like to cover for example if they are struggling with anything in school. Then after that I would start by covering concepts that are generally more difficult to understand to help them gain and stronger understanding. This would be followed by a small quiz or practise questions after which we can discuss exam techniques to ensure maximum marks being gained in examination situations. I have A-levels in Chemistry, Biology, History and an EPQ. I am currently going to into my second year in the MPharm Degree. I have also spent just over 2 years tutoring students for English, maths and the 11+ entrance exam.
