I have been a classroom English teacher for a number of years and have worked with both gifted pupils and struggling pupils from all contexts. I teach English Language and Literature IGCSE ,IB and English Literature A-Level, but am happy to take on pupils at all stages of their English literature and language studies. I have mentored numerous pupils through their Oxford and Cambridge application and have a very strong record in pupil performance across both literature and language papers. I love my teaching subjects, I take great pride in working with young people and I always provide results. I have a prevailing focus on written communication, clarity of grammar and deployment of good vocabulary. Above all, I want pupils to be able to articulate what they think. All pupils will begin with a session designed to assess their current level and how we can expect to meet their goals in the subject. Lessons maximise attention and retention. We will focus on set texts, with small passages of required reading where useful.
