A bit about Aqeel A

I'm a skilled, educated, and enthusiastic individual with experience supporting students outside of the classroom to meet academic challenges. My passion for helping students to succeed—complemented by my expertise in reading and understanding scientific literature—positions me to make a significant impact as your next Science Tutor. Some of my achievements include: • Holding a BSc (hons) in Biomedical Sciences (University of Bradford) • Currently studying MSc/PGDIP in Physician Associate Studies • Driving a strong interest in reading by recommending and assigning various scientific resources/ books across genres in alignment with each student’s age, development level, and personal interests. • Implementing ongoing assessments/exam quesions to analyze students’ progress, improvements, and remaining difficulties. • Building and sustaining strong student and parent relationships, encouraging queries, comments, and concerns and adapting my tutoring style to each student’s unique needs. • Over 5 years of experience in home schooling, temporary and long term tuition. Evaluating students’ learning capabilities and needs, helping them through assignments, and suggesting new learning techniques are just a few of the areas in which I excel. Through my experience tutoring students across a range of capacities and skill levels, I have honed my communication, creativity, and motivational skills. In addition, I possess an innate ability to build and sustain excellent relationships with students, fostering an environment of enthusiasm and anticipation toward tutoring sessions. I started tutoring in 2013 I initially started tutoring, not to earn money but as a hobby. I enjoy this activity. During the lesson, students will be expecting use of white board, presentations, question booklets, games, homework and regular tests to monitor their progress and areas of weakness. I love making and sustaining long term relationships with students and their parents, contributing to their success and helping them to view education as an enjoyable activity rather than a necessity. I believe that success follows students who enjoy learning. Making learning more enjoyable for students is of paramount importance. From the feedback I have received so far, students love the rapport I build with them, keeping paternalistic and confrontational approach to a minimum, identifying areas of weakness, and addressing them in a calm, composed and friendly manner so that they look forward to future lessons. I believe the most common and biggest hurdle between students and success is not knowing how to learn. Learning is a complex process, and the same methodology will not always work for all students. There is no 'one size fits all' rule in education. Hence, I feel that students need learn how to learn before even starting this complex process of learning. Part of my tutoring sessions will involve guiding student to the right resources, and different methods of learning, so that students can utilise this skill in their future studies. BSc in Biomedical Sciences, MSc/PGDIP in Physician Associate Studies, over 5 years of teaching experience.
