A bit about Jannat

Students are always keen to let me know how much they enjoy the conversational style of our lessons together! I always try to make sure that I'm engaging with my students, keeping in touch with them between our lessons as well. If my students need any help after our lessons, I always let them know when I'll be available to help. When I'm not in the classroom, I love playing video games with my friends, or listening to some of my favourite music albums. I'm a huge fan of watching comedy shows as well, and am always ready for a good laugh. When I'm not doing any of that, I enjoy playing badminton and going for long walks with my partner! I specialise in all things English! I'm a great Maths tutor as well, but I enjoy nothing more than digging right into the language of a good book, play and poem. I also specialise in most forms of GCSE and A-level, and am able to assist on all forms of examination and assessment across all boards and age groups. I have been a private tutor for more than six years now and have been part of several academic mentoring programmes across my academic profile. I have secured a place on the Teach First trainee programme to begin in September 2022, where I will become a qualified teacher for secondary English. I have achieved an A* in both English Language and English Literature at GCSE and A-level and have recently achieved a 2:1 in my BA (Hons) English at King's College London!
