I have been working as an English teacher for the past 22 years. At my current job as a freelance online English teacher, I teach English to both adults and children online from Germany, Italy and Spain and prepare them for the Cambridge Advanced English (CAE), the Cambridge Proficiency Exam (CPE), IGCSEs, +11 and IELTS exams. I also help correct their academic essays by paying particular focus in developing their use of the correct literary techniques for each occasion in preparation for the above-mentioned exams. I am known for being a flexible and well-organised teacher. I always put my students’ needs further by adjusting both my teaching curriculum and my teaching availability to their needs. I am an excellent communicator, and I can easily relate to people from different backgrounds. In her feedback for my teaching, the mother of my 15-year-old student wrote to me, ‘Big thanks for your help. Jack thinks he has improved because of your courses. He got quite good results in this term. I also find he is more confident for his English, especially for his writing. We are very happy to see Jack enjoy the sessions with you and it is the longest course he had ever attended ... We appreciate a lot for your help.’ With this experience under my belt, I am looking for an opportunity to take the next step in my career. I am hoping to do so in an organisation like yours that words to help the students’ academic progress, which is something I am passionate about.
