A bit about Francesca G

I am a qualified primary school teacher and have had a lot of classroom based experience with children aged 4-7. It is so incredible to be a part of their learning journey, right from the very beginning. I love seeing how much my students grow and improve in their confidence and abilities. It’s amazing what we can accomplish together. I achieved my bachelors degree in musical theatre. Most recently I have completed my PGCE teaching qualification, specialising in teaching ages 3-7. I have a comprehensive understanding of both the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 curriculums. As a teacher, I welcome children of all backgrounds as diversity and inclusion are my biggest passions in education. I have experience in teaching with children with English as an additional language. I also have experience in teaching children with special educational needs, including children with speech and language barriers to learning, and those with educational health and care plans. At primary age, my focus in on helping your child develop a positive attitude to learning. My main value as a teacher is positivity. We can all do our best learning when we have a positive mindset! My style is fun, nurturing and encouraging. I like to make my lessons exploration based. Children achieve their best when they are learning through play, songs and stories, especially at a young age. The children I teach feel like they can relate to me and find that I am easy to talk to. They love my enthusiasm for learning and this rubs off on them and makes them excited to learn to. The children I teach know it’s okay to not be perfect at everything first time. They know that it’s okay to make mistakes with me and together we learn from them.
