A bit about Misbah

Hello, my name is Misbah and I have been a tutor for more than three years. I have worked as part of the National tutor programme during covid, providing students with the online mathematics support they need. I specialise in teaching KS3 and GCSE mathematics. Some of my hobbies include playing netball with my local team and baking when I am able! I have graduated university and have a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. GCSE: Mathematics (foundation and higher). I am familiar with all GCSE Maths exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. Experience with: KS3/ KS4/ KS5 I specifically teach maths to students from Year 7 to Year 11 in order to help them gain a solid foundation of knowledge that we can build on as they progress through education towards their GCSE exams. All my lessons follow a similar structure, which is recapping over the previous session or starting a new topic and finishing off with some exam questions to consolidate their knowledge. When we start a new topic I give homework and hope to receive it before the next session to mark the work and then discuss it next session before moving on to the next topic. However, it also dependent on student’s individual needs. As every student is different and learn at different rates and so I anticipate this into my lesson plans also once I have gotten to know that student. I understand the support that students need having done my GCSE mathematics and understand how important it is to understand key concepts in mathematics and questions. I would provide students with the support and structure that they need in their sessions and can and will answer any questions students have. I know that learning is a process and I am more than happy to help guide students to achieving their predicted grades.
