A bit about David C

I have a degree in English Literature from The University of Exeter (a Russell Group university) as well as a CELTA teaching certificate. I have taught English to adult students abroad, and I have also frequently taught online and prepared students for important examinations such as IELTS and CAE. I am also a published writer. One of the reasons I enjoy tutoring so much is because I am deeply engaged with the learning process myself. Outside of teaching, I enjoy writing, playing the piano (I have given several classical recitals across the UK) and studying languages - through independent study I have reached an intermediate standard in Russian. Like many Englishmen, I also enjoy football! My name is David and I'm from the Lake District, a region in the North West of England famed for its natural beauty, and for its association with important literary figures like William Wordsworth. From a young age, literature and the arts have inspired me, and after receiving special commendation for my marks at school in the humanities, I have pursued my love of learning and teaching about them ever since. I also love to travel, and I have taught in the UK and in the Russian Federation.
