Enthusiastic Early years / KS1 teacher with over 15 years experience
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
I am a qualified primary school teacher with a specialist degree in the early years. I am experienced in working in Early years settings and years 1 and 2 classrooms and have worked in nurseries and schools for over 15 years. I have both a PGCE and QTS status as well as a degree in early years care and education. I studied for my degree with Canterbury and Christchurch university and completed my PGCE/QTS status with the Thames primary SCITT based in Essex. I have also led Art, Music and English in large primary schools of which are OFSTED rated outstanding.
I am thoroughly competent in delivering an Early years based curriculum with a thorough understanding of developing early reading and writing skills through various phonics programmes as well as developing and extending a grasp of early number, shape, space and measure mathematics. I also have extensive experience teaching a year 2 curriculum in order to succeed at passing the KS1 SATs tests.
I love to see children achieving their goals and work to support all children in achieving the best of their individual abilities. I will always find the best method of teaching to suit each individual child as every child is unique in their own way.
