A bit about Lucy K

I am a CELTA (Cambridge) qualified teacher of English as a foreign language. I’ve been teaching in a Spanish school and academy for the past two years as well as tutoring both children and adults online. Before teaching in Spain, I worked with an international education charity for six years creating engaging materials for young people and running poetry workshops. I always cater my classes to your abilities and interests, and think the key to a good lesson is having fun! In our first lesson together I find out what your interests are, and what areas of English you want to focus on. I bring my experience and expertise to the planning of the lesson but am very much guided by you and your needs. I specialise in all areas of English language: I can prepare you for your Cambridge exam; help to improve your speaking skills, whatever your level or age; introduce new grammar topics in an engaging way; and, develop your existing knowledge. I have a CELTA (Cambridge certified for teaching English), a TEFL, and a STEP Postgraduate in English as a Foreign Language plus over 10 years experience working in education. I also have a First Class Honours Degree in Criminology (BA) and a Joint European Master of Arts in Human Rights and Genocide Studies.
