A bit about Gevik G

I am a PhD student, researching mathematics in healthcare at UCL. I studied mathematics, chemistry and biology at A level. I have a passion for teaching, as well as an upbeat and approachable personality. I specialise in mathematics and science. I provide mathematics tuition for Edexcel, AQA and OCR, up to and including A-levels. I also provide science tuition for Edexcel, AQA and OCR, up to and including GCSEs. I first began tutoring at Talent Engaged Tuition Centre in 2017. I love the precise nature of mathematics and science, and how a grasp on these subjects can illuminate ones understanding of the world around us. A core understanding is the key to memorising. Instead of encouraging students to memorise a particular method or concept, I am always keen on building a fundamental 'from the ground up' understanding of the idea, since memorising something you already understand is much easier. I have a patient and enthusiastic nature, keeping students alert and allowing them to feel comfortable to raise any question at any time. I love having the opportunity to help students develop a better understanding for the subjects that students often find the most challenging. If the student has an idea of the topics that they wish to cover, then we will tackle these. If not, I will go through the topics of the syllabus in order. Students have always appreciated by ability to break down challenging concepts in a way that is easy to digest. Students have also responded positively to the enthusiastic and friendly nature that I exhibit when teaching, as it allows for a comfortable and productive learning environment.
