A bit about Sarah S

I have been a qualified UK teacher since 1999. I have worked in several schools, was Head of Science for 12 years, Head of Biology for 2 years and Assistant Head teacher for 1 year. I have been tutoring for as long as I have been teaching, and I mark for the International A-Level Biology course, and am a team leader for an A-Level UK Biology course. I have taught GCSE, BTEC, iGCSE, and A-Levels. More importantly, I have tutored lots of different types of individuals. Whether you want to improve where you are, or ensure that you get that top grade, I can help. I specialise in Science up to GCSE. This can be combined science of any specification or it can be separate Sciences. I also am able to offer Biology to A-Level. Working for the exam boards means that I have excellent knowledge in the finer details to get you that top grade as well as what to expect in terms of application throughout. I react to the areas you need to improve. We will generally start with assessing your current knowledge, ensuring that the basic understanding of a concept is sound. We will then progress to extend your knowledge. The activities I use to do this depends on you and your learning style. I like to keep it varied, but at the same time, I like to ensure that the methods we use together fit you perfectly. I started tutoring many years ago, but have only recently made it a full time career, this was driven by a change in my personal circumstances and a need for a flexible family life. For you this means I can fit around your schedule.
