A bit about Muhammad A

I graduated from LSE with a degree in Economics. My first job was with a British Merchant Bank in Baker Street, London. Banking was not as exciting as it was supposed to be and every day was quite repetitive. Thinking that there might be more to life, I left London and moved to Leicester in 2004. After a few years of private tutoring, I decided to learn how to teach properly by getting qualified as a Secondary Maths Teacher through the PGCE course at Nottingham University. I loved teaching from day one and although there are many times you have to attempt more than once, I always find that if you put enough time and effort in success will come. As Andre Agassi once said, 'Time + Effort = Achievement'. I specialise in the final year when students are going to take their exam, for both GCSE and A-Level. I love breaking down tricky questions so that students feel confident that they have all the knowledge they need to be able to do the question themselves. A fun starter activity followed by a clear build-up of the topic. I then challenge the student with a tricky exam question. The following lesson will normally start with 3 or 4 questions from previous lessons that I want to see the student do without my help. That way I know the student has truly learned those topics. To start off with I have an A-Level in Maths and also an A-Level in Further Maths. I have a degree from one of the best universities in the country, LSE, which was heavy in Maths-based modules. My teaching qualification is from a Secondary Maths PGCE done with the University of Nottingham. I also have a Masters degree in Mathematics Education through the University of Warwick.
