A bit about Kevin B

Professional, friendly, approachable and patient. I value effort and focus on progress from start point to enable students to reach their desired level with personalised planning and tracking. I have over 10 years of qualified teaching experience from KS3 to Masters level, in several subjects. I have been graded by Ofsted as an outstanding practitioner and have a track record of students achieving at or above expected levels. I specialise in Music, Maths and Science. But I also have experience of teaching Business, Drama and Performing Arts up to degree/masters level. I have over 10 years teaching experience across a number of subjects and hold a 1st class masters degree in Business as well as undergrad and professional practice certification in education and teaching in practice. Following the latest teaching and learning methodology, my sessions will often start with knowledge recall from previous learning. They will then continue with a stractured approach to delivery that increases support along with difficulty to push students into their own personal zone of proximal development. Finishing with a short plenary to check understanding and develop Higher level thinking skills essential for achieving the highest grades. I hold a degrees in Music and Business, PGCE in secondary education and a Master’s in Business. Also have over 10 years of teaching experience and a strong GCSE and A-Level spread across Maths, Science and English. In addition to this I have subject enhancement qualifications for Maths and Science up to GCSE. I hold a SENCO code of practice certificate and have a wealth of experience meeting the teaching a learning needs of pupils with a variety of special requirements. I also have certification in teaching students with ASD, Dyslexia, Cognagive Difficulties, ADD & ADHD.
