A bit about Jacqueline M

I am a fully qualified and registered teacher with over 30 years teaching experience, who still has loads of enthusiasm for teaching. I teach SQA, GCSE and IGCSE curriculums and courses. I have been a marker and examiner in Geography for the SQA. I also have extensive experience in lower school, teaching English, Maths and History and teaching within Special Educational Needs units. My experience as a teacher, marker and examiner has equipped me with the knowledge, skills and techniques to get the most from and for my students, always tailoring my teaching towards my students needs and abilities, which has led to many of my students continuing with me throughout several school sessions. Away from teaching, I enjoy a relaxed, easy-going lifestyle. I listen to music, regularly do yoga and love walks with my dog, as well as shopping and eating out with my daughter. I am a full-time online tutor, offering home schooling and tuition. I have availability during the day, as well as evening slots. I specialise in SQA Geography and Travel and Tourism - all levels, GCSE and IGCSE Geography, SQA English - N5 and Higher, Maths - N5 and KS3 Maths and English Years 7, 8, and 9. I also do exam prep for 7+ and 11+ exams. I always get to know my students, identifying their knowledge / skills base and from there setting a programme of work. Thereafter, each tutoring session will have a review / today’s topic lesson / tasks / recap, with all lessons using a variety of resources to capture attention and develop points. I have a 100% pass rate, with 80% of my students achieving top grades. I am looking forward to meeting new students and helping them to achieve their potential.
