A bit about Lauren C

I am a recently qualified secondary maths teacher who is taking a year out of the classroom. I am passionate about making my students feel completely comfortable in my sessions and ensuring they feel confident with their maths studies, which is why each session will be tailored to your individual needs. My lessons start by having a look at where your strengths and weaknesses are in a topic area, and what you need to know for the specification or exam. We can then start to fill in the gaps in your knowledge and slowly build on the level of difficulty. Each lesson will finish by showing you how a topic could be asked in an exam, and we would work through the answers together to ensure you feel confident in that area. My favourite thing about being a tutor is helping my students to gain confidence in their maths abilities. A lot of my students have started with very low confidence, however after working with me, together we have built their confidence in the subject and a lot now actually enjoy maths.
