A bit about Oliver R

I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a First Class (Hons) degree in Geology and Physical Geography. I then studied my PGCE to be a teacher at Edge Hill, graduating from this to then become a fully qualified teacher at a Grammar School teaching students from KS3 to A-Level. I love watching any sports, in particular tennis, football and new to the list; handball! I played this at university and have been hooked ever since. Alongside that, I love being outdoors in any fashion, be that hiking up hills, kayaking down rivers or climbing rock faces! I like to have periods of input from me on a particular topic, and then ask lots of questions; allowing students to apply that knowledge in order to further develop their personal schema. The beauty of geography is it's real world applications, it's contant evolution and gripping headlines, so this is something I always like to incorporate! I love interacting with other people, getting to know them and helping them in whichever way I can. Sharing my love of the natural and human world allows me to further appreciate it, while being extremely rewarding when that tricky topic for a student just clicks!
