A bit about Rebecca

My specialist subject is English. I have a wealth of experience in teaching English Language and Literature at GCSE level. I have worked mainly with the AQA curriculum and can work with you on building up creativity in your writing, responding to exam questions using PEEL, point, evidence, explain and link and ensuring you understand the exam requirements to get you the best grades possible. I also have a full TEFL qualification gained from Bloomsbury International in London. The course was full time over a one month period, which amounts to 160 hours. I have worked with students aiming to pass english tests such as IELTS exams and students who wish to develop their english for work and general conversation. I tailor my lessons individually to the student, whatever you need to work on we can look at your goals together. I started tutoring in 2019 and have never looked back! I love teaching English as there are so many possibilities. Its a very creative subject and I enjoy working with students to unlock their creative potential within the subject. I am very student centred. I am also quite relaxed and enjoy being creative in my lessons. Hopefully this will inspire you to be creative too! I have full QTLS status which I gained to teach in further education. I also have a TEFL qualification gained from Bloomsbury international in London.
