A bit about Naomi S

Hello! My name is Naomi. ? I am a native English speaker from England. ??I now live in the beautiful countryside of Northern Ireland. I'm a passionate and enthusiastic person with a love for life. I like art and nature, so in my spare time I often go hiking, do painting and I enjoy doing exercise.?? I really love to travel and experience new cultures. I know how difficult it is to learn a new language because I speak and write fluently in Tetun Dilli, and I am currently learning Japanese. My favourite place in the world is Switzerland ?? but my dream is to visit Japan. ?? ? I look forward to meeting you! ? I specialise in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) to all ages, and I have been working as an online English Tutor for 5 years and in that time I've taught over 5300 classes. I also have experience teaching children in reception and KS1, providing 1-on-1 intervention work and implementing Individual Education Programmes for students. Children's classes: I use the certified ESL curriculum "OUP Oxford University Press Let's Go 1" to teach English to new learners. This course has fully integrated activities, songs, videos and worksheets to help children have fun and make fast progress. I also use Cambridge Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers. Adult classes: Completely tailored to you! We can discuss any topic you like, and I can help you to improve your English by means of video lessons and worksheets. You can also request homework! If you would like to take a class with me at a different time, please message me and we can arrange a time that suits us both. English is a beautiful, rich language which has international value. Learning English opens so many doors and opportunities in the lives of my students, and by passing on my skills and knowledge I feel that I am giving them the key. ? It brings me great joy to see my students blossom and progress, and enjoy the journey we take together through our classes. I like to create a relaxed and fun classroom experience. I believe we learn best when we are relaxed. If children can learn to love learning, they will continue all their lives, and inspire others to learn too. I try to be very kind and patient, and I have lot of toys who like to join classes to make children feel at ease. Seeing my students grow in confidence and ability. Regular students become friends, so I love to share in their successes and give them the calm continuity of a weekly class together. Relax, smile and have fun! I feel great success every time my students laugh and smile with me, and I see that they are developing a love of learning.
