A bit about Tom

I’m seeking to find an opportunity that connects my enthusiasm for both the natural world and science in general with education. I aim to make learning fun and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to inspire and support my pupils. I have always been fascinated with biology, which has encouraged an appreciation for all things scientific. I have pursued this interest in an academic setting for the last four years. During my undergraduate degree, I discovered a real enthusiasm for scientific research, which encouraged me to pursue a research master’s in Animal Behaviour . It was during weekly departmental meetings where I presented my findings, that I relished the excitement, joy and achievement felt in sharing my knowledge. This prompted me to undertake my teacher training in science. During my teaching my main aims are to incite self-belief and love of science, whilst also creating a safe and encouraging learning environment.
